Dear Mr. Johnson,
This summer has been without a doubt the best experience of my life so far. I am overwhelmingly thankful to have had an opportunity like this and would like to thank you and Tri-Churches Inc. for making it possible for me.
I have learned so much from the students, staff and faculty at Boston University Tanglewood Institute concerning every aspect of my life from vocal technique and music academics to college options and scholarship opportunities. My private lesson teacher worked with me on extending my range and raising my awareness of the minute details of vocal technique as it applies to my voice in particular, which has had a profound effect on my performance. All of my teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and were able to teach their subjects in such a way that their students come back having learned more at Tanglewood after only six weeks than they have in previous years of study. The staff was made up of music majors and BUTI alumni who could relate to our experiences and provide helpful advice to make our experience better. The students were all personable, goal-oriented people who were within the same age group but from all over the country and the world, and I made many new friends from different places that I will always keep in touch with. All of this contributed to creating a unique environment that was both conducive to learning and fun to be a part of.
My experience at BUTI has really changed me for the better. BUTI has helped solidify the things that I learned at BSA as well as enhance my knowledge in certain fields. I am going back to BSA refreshed and ready to begin my senior year.
